The impact of the energy crisis triggered by the US and Israel's war against Iran continues to be felt in the aviation industry.
According to the Italian agency ANSA, the company “Air BP Italia”, which supplies kerosene to Milan Linate, Bologna, Venice and Treviso airports, has published a NOTAM (Notice to Airmen) for airlines.
The NOTAM stated that the first fuel restriction on flights from these four airports will come into effect from today and will last until April 9.
The NOTAM stipulated that the fuel supply at these airports would give priority to ambulance aircraft, government flights and flights with a travel time of more than 3 hours and that the distribution for flights outside this area should be carried out within the framework of a limited program.
On the other hand, the written statement from Save Group, which operates Venice, Treviso and Verona airports, says that the fuel restrictions at its airports are not significant.
