DENEYAP Technology Workshops Project Festival across Türkiye

DENEYAP technology workshops, conducted in collaboration with the Ministry of Industry and Technology, the Ministry of Youth and Sports, TUBITAK and the Turkish Technology Team Foundation (T3 Foundation), aim to improve the skills of young people in the field of science and technology.

Students trained in workshops across Türkiye combine theoretical knowledge with practical study, gaining important experience on the path to becoming engineers, scientists and technology leaders of the future.

At the End of Term Project Festival, held this year as part of the Aerospace Technologies course, students were asked to design a “life in a smart capsule” that would make human life sustainable on a new planet reached after many years of space travel.

The teams first determined two environmental characteristics of the planets they designed under the headings of air, water and soil. He then developed sustainable and innovative life support systems that provide solutions to the problems caused by these environmental conditions. Students propose solutions for future life in space by using engineering design processes in their projects.

At the festivals, which are held simultaneously across Türkiye, students have the opportunity to demonstrate their skills in problem solving, technical design, sustainable living system development, research, analytical thinking and teamwork.

While around 2,151 students took part in the End of Term Project Festival across Istanbul, a total of 488 teams exhibited their projects. 360 middle school teams and 128 high school teams take part in the festival.

More than 15,000 students from all over Türkiye take part in the project festival. While there are a total of 3,000,666 teams in the organization, 2,000,633 of them are secondary school teams and 1,033 are high school teams.

“More than 15,000 students received training in the DENEYAP Technology Workshops”

In the Istanbul part of the organization, project festivals take place on the Anatolian and European sides. The events held today at the Müzahir Sille Sports Complex on the Anatolian side and at the Ahmet Cömert Sports Hall on the European side will end with the organization that will take place tomorrow at the Ahmet Cömert Sports Hall.

T3 Foundation Board Chairman Elvan Kuzucu Hıdır attended the event on the Anatolian side and reviewed the students' projects. In his statement, Hıdır said that DENEYAP Technology Workshops trained more than 15,000 students in 132 different workshops in 81 provinces.

Pointing out that the students received valuable training in the fields of space, aviation and electronic programming, Hıdır said: “We attach importance to these festivals so that students can project the training they received as a team, develop a solution to a problem and actively use the information they learned along the way. Here, our students have conducted studies in fields such as space, aviation and electronic programming. They use our local and national DENEYAP card. They receive data from many Sensors, interpret them and develop solutions for various.” problems,” he said.

Stating that they are committed to supporting students, Hıdır concluded his words as follows:

“On the other hand, the selection process of our new semester students is actually continuing. We have received almost 200,000 applications throughout Türkiye.

Project of a planetary exploration vehicle by secondary school students

At the organization, the Techno Quartet team, consisting of 4 secondary school students, presented the space research capsule project they developed. The team captain is Bennu Bendçi and its members include Ecrin Ayaz, Meryem Bayram and Zeynep Zümra Erdoğan.

Bendçi stated that in their project they measured the humidity of the soil with the sensor and the LEDs and warning system were activated according to the humidity.

Bayram also pointed out that their project is an exploration vehicle they developed for an imaginary planet, saying, “The exploration vehicle will explore the sustainability of life there. By measuring soil moisture, the vehicle will determine whether life there is sustainable or not and decide whether life can be lived on that planet.” he said.

Explaining that they worked as a team during the development process of the project and each member focused on a different part, Erdoğan said: “One of our friends wrote the code, another made the circuit. Another friend of ours took care of the poster. We helped each other by showing solidarity.” he said.

The DENEYAP Technology Workshops project festival will continue tomorrow with various events.
