Climate and polar research projects compete at TEKNOFEST

According to TEKNOFEST's statement, the “Climate Change Research Projects for High School Students” competition encourages young people not only to understand the global climate crisis, but also to find solutions.

The competition, which offers the opportunity to develop projects in a wide range of areas with 6 main and 22 subcategories such as “Environment”, “Economic Sectors”, “Weather and Climate”, “Sustainability and Welfare”, “Water Research” and “Social Consciousness”, enables students to develop a scientific approach to real-world problems.

Topics such as protecting natural resources, increasing the climate resilience of cities and reducing CO2 emissions are being reconsidered with the innovative ideas of young people.

The “Polar Research Projects for High School Students” competition invites students to scientifically investigate the poles.

The application deadline is today

The competition, which is characterized by an interdisciplinary structure ranging from the life sciences to the earth sciences, from the natural sciences to the social and human sciences, aims to better understand the poles at the center of the global climate system. Topics such as melting glaciers, ecosystem changes and the strategic importance of the polar regions meet the scientific curiosity of young people and provide new perspectives.

Prizes of up to 90,000 TL await students who place in both competitions. These organizations, whose aim is to educate young people to become individuals who produce knowledge, play a crucial role in Türkiye's path to science and technology.

Applications for the competitions close today.
