According to HAVELSAN's statement, the BİYOTEKSAN product “National Biometric Data Management System” developed by the company at the local and national levels was put into operation throughout the country by the General Directorate of Security from 2:00 p.m.
The domestic fingerprint recognition system developed by BİYOTEKSAN with HAVELSAN's technical capabilities was first deployed at the General Directorate of Immigration Management on March 26, 2021.
The domestic fingerprint recognition system was deployed in 81 provinces within the General Directorate of Population and Citizenship Affairs on January 7, 2022.
As part of the National Biometric Data Management System Project, the domestic fingerprint recognition system, which has the function of recognizing fingerprints taken at the crime scene, has begun to be put into operation in the General Directorate of Security and the General Command of the Gendarmerie.
While protecting domestic capital and acquiring technology for fingerprint recognition, the goal is to nationalize other biometric technologies such as palm, vein, face, iris, retina and voice in the future and preserve the national biometric data family.
BIOTEKSAN was founded
It is crucial that biometric data is secured using national software. For this reason, with the protocol signed on September 13, 2019 between the Ministry of Interior, HAVELSAN and POLSAN, the National Biometric Data System Project was launched to develop all current biometric recognition technologies such as fingerprint, palm print, vein print, face, iris, retina and voice locally and nationally. So while local and national biometric systems were developed, the national security of the data was also ensured.
BİYOTEKSAN was established in partnership with HAVELSAN and POLSAN to implement the developed national biometric systems at home and abroad.
The aim is to deploy the national fingerprint recognition system in the General Directorate of Immigration Management, the General Directorate of Population and Citizenship Affairs, the General Directorate of Security and then in the General Command of the Gendarmerie.
