Bayraktar TB2's new station is the Maldives

For the needs of the security forces, the Maldives will supply a system consisting of a command center and 6 Bayraktar TB2s. As part of the agreement, delivery of the vehicles has begun.

Maldives President Muhammed Muizzu visited Turkey in November 2023 and met with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. Muizzu also visited some Turkish defense industry companies.

Bayraktar TB2, developed by Baykar, has become Turkey's flagship in this field as the UAV has been sold to most countries in the world.

To date, contracts have been signed with 33 countries for Bayraktar TB2, which achieved its first export success in Qatar in 2018. Bayraktar TB2, which works in all adverse weather conditions such as desert heat, freezing cold, snow and storms in many different parts of the world, has been added to the inventory of NATO and European Union member countries.

Bayraktar TB2 has broken a record in its class

Bayraktar TB2, which has completed more than 750,000 flight hours so far, broke the Turkish altitude record in its class at 27,000 30 feet. Bayraktar TB2 holds the title of the longest-serving national aircraft with this flight duration.

After signing contracts with 9 countries for Bayraktar AKINCI, the number of countries with which Baykar has agreements on unmanned aerial vehicles stands at 34.
