The statement, which said 114 missile and 190 UAV attacks from Iran on Bahrain have been prevented so far, said attacks on civilians and private property with ballistic missiles and UAVs constitute a violation of international humanitarian law and a direct threat to peace and security in the region.

The Bahraini Interior Ministry's statement on US-based Company X's social media platform said sirens had sounded due to attacks from Iran.

The statement urged citizens to go to the nearest safe places.

US-Israeli attacks on Iran

Israel and the US launched a military attack on Iran on February 28, while negotiations between the governments of Tehran and Washington were still ongoing.

Iran responded with attacks on targets it identified in some countries in the region, particularly Qatar, the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain, where US bases are located, as well as Israel.

The American-Israeli attacks killed Iranian leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and many high-ranking officials.

According to Iranian officials, the death toll from the U.S.-Israeli strikes topped 1,348 and the number of injured topped 17,000.
