Thanks to the developed domestic and national products, security forces are brought together with the latest technology.
One of these products, the ODAKAN collar camera, records every action in the field moment by moment. The clip-on camera, initially developed in accordance with the requirements of the MEBS Directorate of the General Command of the Gendarmerie, will be used by the Gendarmerie for the first time to detect criminals or wanted persons within the framework of the Smart Road Checkpoints and the Gendarmerie Smart Patrol Application (JADU). Project carried out with the Defense Industry Presidency. Subsequently, the cameras in question were made available to the Directorate General of Security as part of the City Security Management and License Plate Recognition System (KGYS) project carried out with the Presidency of the Defense Industry.
Crime detection through instant scanning
The ODAKAN clip-on camera, which provides convenience to on-site security forces with its touchscreen and LED lighting that enables night vision, as well as its design, captures high-resolution images while recording audio and video. Thanks to the camera, which both transmits live to the headquarters and stores the image in its memory, the wanted criminals or license plates involved in the crime are immediately scanned and reported to the device of the security forces on site.
The camera, which can take wide-angle shots, is charged with the ASELSAN vacuum system. During loading, the images in memory are transferred to the capture units in the center. Backup batteries of clip-on cameras powered by external batteries ensure continuous use. To avoid interruptions during critical tasks and moments, the clip-on camera continues to operate during battery replacement and pre-records for a specified period of time before the record button is pressed.
The clip-on camera, which is characterized by its durability, also works in adverse weather conditions. The camera has protection that is resistant to drops and liquid contact.
Local and national artificial intelligence algorithms are used
The location information of the security forces using the clip-on camera can also be passed on to the relevant institution. If necessary, a snapshot of the on-site staff is sent to headquarters and the necessary communication is ensured.
The system in collar cameras using local and national artificial intelligence algorithms can be developed as needed. There are plans to introduce face and license plate recognition features developed with collar cameras, which will be widely used in the future.
