Bayraktar said that a delegation traveled to Syria to discuss energy support and stated the following:

We will assess Syria's infrastructure needs in energy, electricity and other areas and do our best to ensure that Syria can benefit again from these basic services in the short and medium term.” and long-term planning: “We will do our best so that those who wish to return, most of whom have such a desire, can return under better conditions.”

Bayraktar continued his words, emphasizing that Turkey's economy will be much stronger when it becomes more independent in the energy sector, its sphere of influence in its region and the world will be much larger, and nuclear energy will make the most important contribution to it, and continued continued his words as follows:
“Whenever we develop these big projects that take Turkey into a new era and catapult Turkey into the class of developed countries in the world, then unrest in Turkey begins to increase. Noting that there are 415 nuclear reactors worldwide, Bayraktar said:
“You know the opposition's rhetoric: 'Türkiye should not pursue nuclear weapons.' When we were in the budget two weeks ago, there is something that the opposition still doesn't understand, they say: “Developed countries around the world are turning their backs on nuclear power, Turkey is trying to develop nuclear power.” The world signs a declaration on tripling their nuclear capacity. They announce this to the whole world, America, France, Japan, China, every developed country you can imagine… It is not possible for our opposition to understand this. That is why Turkey has nuclear energy and uses its energy efficiently. “Türkiye is advancing at great speed in its century, becoming a country that Sinop built next to Akkuyu and nuclear power plants in Thrace.”

Bayraktar said that there are two other areas that will lead them to energy independence, one of them is oil and the other is natural gas.
Bayraktar stressed that Turkey should be a country that finds and produces its own natural gas and oil:
“We extract natural gas by drilling 2 kilometers, 2.5 kilometers and 3 kilometers from the seabed, 170 kilometers from Filyos to land, where the sea depth is 2,100 meters, more than 2 kilometers. We found natural gas there.” . Bayraktar pointed out that another success story was written in Gabar, saying:
“Today, production in Gabar has exceeded 70,000 barrels in two years. Gabar contributes $2 billion to our country's economy every year. We do not import it and make a major contribution to our economy by producing it ourselves. Something else is happening,” that is, we currently have three thousand young people in the mountains, most of whom come from this region and are finding employment opportunities. Where does terrorism come from? They are so disturbed by the lack of hope and dreams in young people. The people in this region are now very excited about our activities there. “I wonder when I will get a job at Turkish Petroleum when a refinery is built here.” Our country produces its own oil and natural gas and hopefully will become much stronger. In this sense, our economy will put aside the problems we are experiencing today. We are confident for Gabar. “No matter what anyone in Gabar says, we will work until the end and strive to exceed that 70,000 barrels, hopefully 100,000 barrels.”

Minister Bayraktar explained that within seven to eight years, Turkey began exploring for oil and natural gas not only in the Black Sea and the Mediterranean, but also in different continents and regions.
Bayraktar pointed out that Turkish engineers are exploring for oil and natural gas in Somalia and said that the local and national seismic vessel Oruç Reis had sailed to that country.
Bayraktar said: “Of course the Somali people welcomed us with great enthusiasm. That’s why our president’s vision and leadership are important. What will give hope to the people of Somalia and improve their living conditions is the brotherhood we show like Turkey and of course the activities we carry out. he said.
