TEKNOFEST contributes to developing a vision in the field of intelligent transport technologies. In the “Smart Transportation” competition, students integrate an awareness of social responsibility with their technological knowledge and experience and create projects that add value to social life.
The goal of the competition is to meet the need for faster, more comfortable and safer transportation by increasing mobility in the face of limited transportation capacity, including natural disasters, earthquakes and emergencies. Competition, which enables the integrated application of modern technology and management strategies to transport systems, creates opportunities to make life easier by solving technological and economic problems.
The competition is organized in three different categories.
With the Smart Transportation Competition, young people are expected to shorten travel times, increase road safety, increase mobility, ensure energy efficiency and develop and present environmentally friendly projects.
The competition, which students in Turkey and abroad can take part in, is divided into three different categories: primary and secondary education, senior education, higher education and graduates.
This year, the winning teams of the competition will receive prizes worth a total of 390,000 TL. In the prize distribution, the winners of the primary, secondary and high school levels will receive 50,000 TL, the runners-up will receive 40,000 TL, and the third place winners will receive 30,000 TL. At university level and above, the first place winner will receive 60,000 TL, the second place winner will receive 50,000 TL, and the third place winner will receive 40,000 TL. The application deadline for the competition ends on February 20, 2024.
