Anyone who fails the young engineer exam cannot go into the field.

The fourth part of the dossier with the theme “Young Engineers Prepare Turkey for the Future”, prepared by Anadolu Agency for the commemoration of Ataturk, Youth and Sports Day on May 19, was given to HAVELSAN test engineer Ekin Dedicated to Ecem Tatar.

Tatar told the AA correspondent that he graduated from Atılım University in the Department of Information Systems Engineering and has been working at HAVELSAN for three years and that he has improved in analytical thinking since childhood and believes that he is better in this regard have talent.

Tatar explained that he also felt the positive impact of good examples in the family: “My older sister was an engineer and studied in good schools, and we tried to catch up with her. It lead to. Loving.” Mathematics, good teaching, sympathy for the teachers, sympathy for the school have somehow made progress,” said.

Tatar stated that he worked as a test engineer at HAVELSAN and provided the following information about the work carried out in this context:

“We carry out our engineering and works at every point of the projects, from the beginning to the end. After the contract is signed, we become active. We ensure the successful completion of the project and the control mechanism.”

Do we fully meet the customer's requirements? Can we afford it or not? How is it verified, how is it displayed? What can be encountered at the time of intake? An activity that involves assessing such risks. “There is no flawless system, but we are responsible for delivering the product with the least defects.”

“Children have a much greater advantage”

Tatar pointed out that technology is evolving very quickly and explained that even a two-year-old child can give amazing answers and that families should recognize the talents right at the beginning and guide the child accordingly.

Tatar emphasized that it would be wrong to direct a child who is not interested in mathematics into engineering from the very beginning and came to the following assessments:

“There may be studies to guide a child who loves analytical thinking, mathematics, working out solutions and who cares about understanding a problem to develop these skills further. If he/she does not focus on a single subject and is interested in another, I would definitely prefer him/her to progress in this profession and do research. I don't think there were many engineers in my family, but I saw that the people I met loved their work even when they were very tired. 'I'm sorry, but I'm not sure what I mean.'”

Tatar pointed out that children are now in a much more advantageous position and can easily access the information they want through the Internet or artificial intelligence, saying: “In a way they have a little misfortune. The fact that everything is so ready.” for their desires may be a little daunting, because the curious mind is “one of the most important and essential subjects for the engineer.” said.

“We will do whatever is necessary”

Ekin Ecem Tatar said it is very proud to be involved in such activities in a strong and leading defense industry company like HAVELSAN, a company that provides infrastructure for many platforms. Tatar continued as follows:

“Whether I work for 1 month or 5 years, it is an incredible, indescribable feeling to see that a project, a product or a product is useful, where I realize that I get even the slightest benefit from it. HAVELSAN attaches importance to work in this regard. It constantly invests in research and development.” We work with experts in this field. That's why I feel like I'm in the business at all. Having done it, it's really a great thing.

That was the job I wanted anyway. I wanted to be able to see what the end user was doing, what our work was for and why it was being used. Frankly, I think that's the direction we're going to go in. “We'll do whatever it takes, be it software or testing.”

“A woman needs to be touched”

Tatar stressed that he definitely recommends engineering to girls, saying:

“I don't want to differentiate between men and women, but from what I have seen, I can say that women in general have the ability to think in much more detail. Men, of course, have other advantages in many things, but if I look at it in terms of technique, the most important person is actually a woman. A woman's hand must be touched. “The most important point is to research, to see, to learn. If a woman does this, she will definitely see the result.

Ekin Ecem Tatar suggested that engineering candidates develop a strategy that turns their deficiencies into advantages.

Tatar stated that workshops and technology events should be organized for future engineers, and explained that promotional activities can be carried out as far as the industry allows. Tatar said, “Because a closed box is never outward-facing, it is inward-facing. We need to do a good job of promoting the things we want from the outside, make people love this field, show that it is not scary. We are not doing anything.” “We are working to save people's lives and make everything better,” he said.
