The Presidency statement noted that in recent valuations of real estate advertisements on digital platforms, the advertisement amount and the actual purchase price are different.
The statement noted that the Spatial Data Analysis (MEVA) project analyzed real estate purchase, sale and rental transactions using multi-dimensional data sets and found the following:
“In recent analyzes of real estate advertisements on digital platforms, it has been found that some sellers' advertisements, where the amounts placed on their advertisement pages and the actual purchase-sale price are different, are updated or removed in this way. The amounts on the advertisement pages are compared with the actual purchase-sale prices, precedents and market data.
In this context, non-compliant transactions are detected and closely monitored across various data sources. Necessary investigation and audit procedures are initiated against such practices, which can lead to tax losses and tax evasion, and action is taken against those responsible within the framework of the relevant legislation. “It is important for our taxpayers to conduct their business at real prices and in accordance with the law in order to avoid possible sanctions.”
