9 awards for the Turkish team at the robotics competition in the USA

At the championship, held April 17-21 at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston, about 600 robotics teams from different countries competed with the robots they created.

Among the Turkish students who took part in the competition, the Wildcast team from Istanbul received the biggest award in the Robotic Performance category and placed 5th among 600 teams in the championship, while the 4th Dimension team won the most prestigious award in the Social Awards category .

Turkish teams named SPARC, Kaiser, Flare, Istech Robotic Society, Golden Horn and CARACAL Robotics placed in various categories and were deemed worthy of awards.

In addition, the team called Techtolia Robotics, made up entirely of female students, became one of the nine Turkish teams that returned from the championship with an award.

Türkiye was the third largest country with the largest participation

While about 22,000 students from around the world attended the FRC event, which featured future engineering candidates, Turkey was the country with the largest participation in the championship with 400 students after hosts USA and Canada.

While Turkey was the country with the highest number of female students in the championship, 44 percent of the members of the 17 participating teams from different provinces, particularly Istanbul and Ankara, were female students.

FRC sets the rules and framework for robots, which are developed every year according to a different concept. Students who create the desired robots in a limited time must first place in regional competitions in order to qualify for the world championship.
