The US Geological Survey (USGS) reported that the epicenter of the earthquake was 35 kilometers northeast of the El Limon region in Aragua state.
The statement said the 4.8 magnitude earthquake occurred at a depth of 10 kilometers.
There were two severe earthquakes

USGS announced that a magnitude 7.5 earthquake was recorded 23 kilometers southeast of the city of Yumare in the country's Yaracuy province and a magnitude 7.2 earthquake was recorded 24 kilometers northeast of the city of San Felipe in the same state.
It was reported that the depth of the earthquake was 10 kilometers in Yumare and 21.9 kilometers in San Felipe.
While the number of people who lost their lives in the earthquakes has risen to 1,430 and the number of injured to 3,238, there are concerns that the number of dead and injured will increase in the country where search and rescue efforts continue.
