With foreign sales of $3.8 billion, Automotive is at the top

According to the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM), total exports increased by 2.2 percent in October compared to the same period last year, reaching 24 billion 789 thousand dollars.

In the month in question, the automobile sector, one of the industrial group sectors, achieved exports worth 3 billion 815 million 606 thousand dollars. The sector included chemicals and products with 2 billion 645 million 208 thousand dollars and the electrical and electronics sector with 1 billion 643 million 927 thousand dollars.

The sector that increased its exports the most in October was cruise yachts and services at 76.4 percent.

The foreign turnover of the industrial group, which realizes 81.5 percent of Turkish exports, was estimated at 17 billion 91 million 596 thousand dollars last month, an increase of 3.6 percent.

In October, in the agricultural group, exports amounted to 3 billion 302 million 782 thousand dollars, accounting for 15.7 percent of exports, a decrease of 2.1 percent, and in the mining group, 583 million 810 thousand dollars were made, accounting for 2.8 percent of exports, an increase of 3 percent.

Most exports are to Germany

While 1,085 companies exported for the first time in October, Parity contributed $706 million to Türkiye's exports in October.

The top three exporting countries last month were Germany with 1 billion 819 million 261 thousand dollars, the United Kingdom with 1 billion 291 million 134 thousand dollars and the USA with 1 billion 198 million 109 thousand dollars.

The three cities with the highest exports during this period were Istanbul with 8 billion 220 million 667 thousand dollars, Kocaeli with 1 billion 963 million 997 thousand dollars and Bursa with 1 billion 616 million 536 thousand dollars.
