With artificial intelligence increased satellite tracking, the efficiency of agricultural areas increases

As part of the detection of artificial intelligence and satellite images with satellite images, images from advanced satellites such as Göktürk-1, Göktürk-2, Sentinel-2 and Planetscope are analyzed.

As a result of the analyzes, for example, poppy plant areas are followed according to the phenological calendar process. Thanks to the artificial intelligence -supported system, data systems such as “right”, “wrong”, “repeated” and “suspicious declaration” are analyzed, and plant health values ​​such as water stress and nitrogen status can be monitored.

While the system increases transparency in agricultural production, it enables efficiency and use of resources more effective. In contrast to agricultural inspections that are carried out according to traditional methods, the analysis with satellite images is minimized and early interventions are given.

45 million decar in the agricultural country were analyzed

As part of the project, over 45 million decares were analyzed with satellite images. The analysis was confirmed by field studies, while the success rate of over 98 percent was achieved.

This technology offers an advantage, especially in areas such as agricultural support programs, efficient water consumption, plant planning and food safety. In addition, it helps to estimate the product income and enable manufacturers and relevant institutions to make future planning healthier.

Production expectations are determined

The artificial intelligence developed by Turksat supports the contribution from Türkiye to agricultural guidelines as well as to support the safety of food supply and sustainable agricultural goals.

Thanks to the uninterrupted follow -up with soil observation satellites, the production expectations are determined more precisely, changes in the field are identified immediately and the costs of the field studies are significantly reduced.

The project aims to increase Türkiye's agricultural production capacity and use resources more efficiently.
