Gambling in Turkey According to MENA EU, the “Türkiye Gaming Industry Report”, which has been produced continuously by the company for 10 years, revealed current market data and key trends for the sector in its 2025 version.
According to the report, the size of the Turkish gambling market, which was about $810 million in 2024, exceeded the $1 billion threshold in 2025 and reached a volume of $1 billion 10 million.
Türkiye's gambling market grew by 51.46 percent in Turkish lira in 2025 compared to the previous year.
While the number of internet users in Türkiye is about 77 million, the internet usage rate in the 16 to 74 age group is 90.9 percent. As the number of active players approaches 50 million, 46 percent of the player profile is women and 54 percent is men.
This year, unlike previous years, the report did not name local gambling companies in Türkiye as a static list, but instead presented them in data, analysis and commentary format due to the rapidly changing structure of the ecosystem.
As a result of tracking throughout the year, a more current and accurate panorama of Türkiye's production capacity will emerge, with metrics such as number of companies, platform-oriented distribution and city-wise concentration.
The report, published under the auspices of Billonga, Boğaziçi Ventures, Türk Telekom GAMEON, GPay, JAI Portal, Joygame, Joygame Select, KOCCA and Xsolla, comprehensively discusses the esports ecosystem as well as trends and consumption habits on mobile devices, consoles and PCs with data-based analysis and commentary.
“The time of deepening and mastery has begun”
Ozan Aydemir, Chief Executive (CEO) of Gaming in Turkey MENA EU, whose views were included in the statement, stated that the time of uncontrolled rapid expansion in the global gaming market is over and the time of deepening and mastery has begun.
Aydemir pointed out that the engine of growth is no longer just in attracting new players, but in how committed existing players are to the worlds and how closely the communities are managed, saying: “As the infrastructure on the Turkish side becomes stronger, it is technically possible to reach the player more than ever, but the competition for that player's time and attention is more intense than ever.” he said.
Explaining that the entrepreneurship and investment climate has evolved into a more selective and “smarter” structure, Aydemir explained that Gaming Snapshot's results, based on Startups.watch's investment data, show that exits will continue despite the cautious course of investment tours in 2025 and that Türkiye maintains its potential.
Aydemir noted that, according to the Information Technologies and Communications Authority, the increase in fiber optic access and broadband network directly affects the gaming experience and that the game is no longer just a content but an “experience package” offered through the combination of access, service and community.
