Turkey's first national turbofan aircraft engine is on display at TEKNOFEST

TEKNOFEST Adana, whose communication stakeholder is TRT, will be held at Adana Airport under the main leadership of T3 Foundation and the Ministry of Industry and Technology with the participation of 128 institutions including public institutions, technology giants, universities and media organizations.

TEI, one of the stakeholders of TEKNOFEST, will introduce visitors to the national aircraft engines it has developed. The engines exhibited at the TEI stand include Turkey's first national turbofan aircraft engine TEI-TF6000, Turkey's first domestic helicopter engine T700-TEI-701D, Turkey's first national turbodiesel aircraft engine TEI-PD170, Turkey's first national helicopter engine Turkey TEI-TS1400 and most of Turkey's powerful national aviation engine TEI-TF10000.

The stand will also display parts manufactured by TEI for the jump engine that powers the Airbus A320 and Boeing 737 aircraft. Visitors will also be introduced to parts from additive manufacturing.

TEI is also the organizer of the Jet Engine Design Competition as part of TEKNOFEST.

“We brought the TF6000 engine to TEKNOFEST Adana ourselves.”

In his statement, Mahmut Akşit explained that they try to introduce something new to TEKNOFEST visitors every year and that they brought the TF6000 engine, whose plastic model they previously exhibited, to TEKNOFEST Adana this year.

Stating that they come to TEKNOFEST every year with a surprise, Akşit said, “Hopefully we will try to prepare another surprise next year,” he said.

Stating that the TF6000 engine is Turkey's first real aircraft engine, Akşit said:

“TF6000 is a turbofan engine for military aircraft. Our 6,000-pound class engine is proof that Turkey can now produce aircraft engines. I had previously said: 'If we build and operate these engines, we will be in the aviation super league.' of aviation engine technologies.” USA, England “We have moved up to the French and German leagues, the Super League, a class of countries that have developed their own engines. We started the engine up to 15,000 revolutions in February and kept it there.” We have carried out almost 60 successful tests so far.

“Young people are also interested in pursuing complex and high-tech engines.”

Akşit emphasized that they were very happy about the interest of young people in their stands at TEKNOFEST Adana and said, “The 'children of today' are very curious about technological things. Young people follow with interest even such complex and high-tech engines.” They ask questions that will surprise you all.” “There is hope that these young people will graduate and we will hand over the responsibility to them.” is much more conscious , much more aware and much more enthusiastic about technology topics,” he said.

Akşit made the following statements about the jet engine design competition he held:

“We already had a small competition for jet engines. There were things we built and ran. In order not to have the same competition every year, we gradually moved on to more difficult parts. Our competition this year is a two-stage fan design.” “That's actually a transonic fan that works at supersonic speed.” It was a university-level competition. National Defense University, Ege University and Gebze Technical University shared the top three. Our young people We have slowly welcomed these young people into our team and are working at TEI. It is also a good opportunity to build a career. In the first few years we organized the competition. The university was newly founded and now works for us.
