The second training session on “Influencers” will take place on January 9th

According to the statement from the Ministry of Commerce, the program in question was created in cooperation with the Advertising Authority of the Ministry of Commerce, the Tax Inspection Authority of the Ministry of Finance and Finance and the Self-Regulatory Authority for Advertising so that social media influencers can continue their activities within the framework of the law.

Through the program, the Ministry of Commerce provides social media influencers with detailed training on legal regulations on consumer rights and social media advertising, points to consider when sharing, and the structure, functioning and decisions of the advertising committee.

The Tax Inspectorate of the Ministry of Finance and Finance informs participants about tax and legal obligations in social media activities, and the Advertising Self-Regulatory Authority informs participants about the basic ethical and legal rules of marketing communications, responsible advertising principles, copyright and protection of personal data.

70 social media influencers received certificates of participation

The first phase of the program took place on November 25, 2024 at the Tax Inspectorate Service Building in Istanbul. 70 social media influencers successfully completed the day-long training and received certificates of participation. The list of people who attended the training was also published on the Advertising Self-Regulatory Board website.

The relevant training offers participants the opportunity to differentiate themselves in the eyes of brands as social media influencers who support legal, ethical and responsible marketing communication values.

People with more than 100,000 followers can take part.

The second training program will be held on Thursday, January 9, at the Ataşehir Service Building of the Tax Inspectorate.

Social media influencers with 100,000 or more followers can take part in the program, which is scheduled to take place every two months until the end of this year.

The training program is designed to ensure that social media influencers who work with advertising companies take a more transparent, reliable and ethical approach to advertising. Details about the program can be found at smeegitimi.com.
