CWIX 2024 took place at the NATO Joint Force Training Center in Bydgoszcz, Poland.
The event, which attracted more than 2,600 participants from 44 countries, was the largest exercise ever held to mark CWIX's 25th anniversary. The exercise tested more than 490 existing and experimental technologies.
ULAK Communications participated in the exercise with uMAYA SD-WAN, Turkey's first and only national network solution, under the coordination of the General Staff.
uMAYA SD-WAN was developed using a software-defined approach to make wide area network infrastructures more secure, easier to manage and more cost-effective. It has had the opportunity to be deployed in a military environment and tested on a real NATO network at CWIX 2024.
During the exercise, ULAK Communications successfully completed the tests conducted with the SD-WAN product. This success once again demonstrated the competitiveness and effectiveness of Turkey's national network solutions at the international level.
SD-WAN V3.0 is coming
ULAK Communications continues to develop and test the V3.0 version of SD-WAN, which provides active services at more than 1000 points in many institutions in Turkey. The launch of this version is planned for the last quarter of the year.
At the same time, production and testing of the ARM-based prototype was completed, which will be worked on in order to be able to use SD-WAN software cost-effectively.
CWIX has been approved by NATO's military arm since 1999 and is conducted with the aim of increasing the interoperability capability of allied forces. As part of this exercise, systems under development or in the testing phase support mutual testing as well as investigations within coalition scenarios.
