During the official contacts in the cities of Shenzhen and Dongguan, Commission Chairman Mustafa Varank, Vice-Chairman Şahin Tin, Commission Spokesman Cevahir Uzkurt, members Adem Çalkın, Arslan Tatar, Yusuf Ziya Aldatmaz, Mehmet Eyüp Özkeçeci, Müzeyyen Şevkin, Ednan Arslan, Şeref Arpacı, Ömer Öcalan and Rıdvan Uz met.

Mustafa Varank gave information about their contacts with China and stated that they had made the visit at the invitation of China, inviting Commission members and members of parliament from all parties.

Varank stated that the possibilities of cooperation with China in the coming period were discussed at the meetings and said: “We created this organization to see the positions, positions and capacities of countries in the ongoing race for production technologies and industry in the world,” said.

Pointing out that Shenzhen is one of the most exemplary cities in the world in terms of technology and production, Varank said, “This region is called China's Silicon Valley. This is one of the most important places in the world in terms of both industrial production and technology. Here we visit various companies and businesses operating in different fields.” “We have also continued our contacts with the administration of the Shenzhen region. They will also pay a visit to our country to take the necessary steps to improve cooperation with Turkey.” He said:

Varank stated that Turkey stands out not only in its region but also in the world with its production and technology and continued as follows:

“We want to stand on our own feet, develop our own technology and be a country that exports industrial products to the world. We have achieved very good results in this regard so far. What cooperations can we work with in the coming period?” With which countries and with which companies can we join forces to develop and produce technologies, and we will make our efforts to achieve this.” Different countries have different positions in industry and technology production. In fact, we are trying to develop cooperation with all countries and companies, regardless of East or West, in terms of cooperation with Turkey, while on the other hand we invite them to Turkey with direct investments. “We are trying to cooperate with the transfer. This visit will make a significant contribution to Turkey.” As a Commission, we will pass on the experiences we have gained here and the meetings we have held here to our government and the relevant ministries.”

Technology development and technology transfer

Mustafa Varank stated that as part of their contacts with China, they also visited Huawei, one of the world's most important technology companies.

Pointing out that they received information on autonomous driving, electric vehicles, renewable energy and storage technologies during their visit to Huawei's R&D and production facilities in China, Varank said, “While our delegation discussed direct investment opportunities between Turkey and China during their official contacts,” technology development and “In addition, they exchanged views on technology transfer,” he said.

Varank provided the following information about his meetings with Huawei executives and his observations in research and development and production facilities:

“Huawei is a company that has been operating in Turkey for 22 years. With its 1,500 employees and over 1,300 engineers, it is a company that develops solutions with Turkish engineers in Turkey and markets these products worldwide. We want to expand our cooperation. In this sense, we also want to conduct preliminary legal studies on data center investments in Turkey in the near future, especially in Turkey. At the end of the GNAT delegation's visit to China, cooperation opportunities in the field of technology and innovation were evaluated and it was agreed to take positive steps to improve technology transfer and information exchange between Turkey and China.
