The BIST 100 index ended the day at 13,878.54 points

While the BIST 100 index increased by 68.65 points compared to the previous close, the total transaction volume was 170.3 billion lira.

While the banking index gained 1.40 percent, the holding index lost 1.28 percent.

Among the industry indices, the biggest winner was finance leasing factoring at 7.60 percent, the biggest loser was sports at 3.48 percent.

While global markets were mixed as the strong balance sheet of Nvidia, the world's largest chip maker, eased some of the forward-looking question marks surrounding artificial intelligence, investors' focus turned to news flow on the ongoing talks between the US and Iranian delegations.

Although the BIST 100 index on Borsa Istanbul started the day negatively, it ended the day positive with the purchases made in the second half.

According to domestic data, the total reserves of the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT) fell by $5 billion 706 million in the week of February 20 compared to the previous week, falling to $206 billion 78 million.

The total deposits of the banking sector increased by 171 billion 487 million 198 thousand liras during the same period, reaching 29 trillion 264 billion 843 million 579 thousand liras.

Economists participating in AA Finans' Expectations Survey on Q4 2025 Gross Domestic Product (GDP) data to be announced by the Turkish Statistical Institute on Monday, March 2, forecast that GDP will increase by 3.6 percent annually in the fourth quarter of 2025.

Analysts said that tomorrow they will track the unemployment rate and monthly monetary and banking statistics in the country, the Tokyo Consumer Price Index (CPI) and industrial production in Japan, the unemployment rate and inflation in Germany, and producer inflation in the United States abroad. Technically, 14,000 and 14,100 points in the BIST 100 index are in a resistance position, while 13,800 and 13,700 points are in a support position.
