According to BTİDER, the association has launched a new program in collaboration with Google to help young people acquire skills in the field of artificial intelligence.
Google.org and the Raspberry Pi Foundation are providing BTIDER with a total of $500,000 in financial support for two years to run the program, developed with the support of Google DeepMind in Turkey.
Experience AI: Artificial Intelligence Training Program for Teachers creates the necessary resources for educators to support and inspire young people in developing their artificial intelligence skills.

Ömer Faruk Sorgun, Chairman of the Board of BTİDER, said that training in artificial intelligence is very important for Türkiye.
Emphasizing that training young people in the field of artificial intelligence is of great importance for the country's future, Sorgun said: “With this training, we will contribute to Turkey's digital future. At this time when digitalization is gaining momentum, the knowledge of our young people is of great importance.” “The development of artificial intelligence and the acquisition of competencies in this field will increase the competitiveness of our country at the global level,” he said.
Sorgun explained that thanks to the collaboration with Google, BTİDER will provide educators with the skills they need in this field: “We will ensure that they participate in the digital world safely. Our goal is to contribute to raising more conscious young people in society through the correct and ethical use of artificial intelligence.”
“We will support more than 300,000 young people”
Tolga Sobacı, President of Google Public Relations and Policies, also stated that they are very proud and honored to be companions on Turkey's digital transformation journey.
Sobacı said: “In this journey, our top priority is to prepare our young people for the future by using technology safely. For this reason, we attach great importance to studies in the field of artificial intelligence, adopting a responsible and ethical approach. “Field,” he said.
Stating that with “Experience AI: Artificial Intelligence Training Program for Teachers”, teachers will both educate young people about artificial intelligence and provide the basic training and resources necessary to inspire young people, Sobacı made the following assessment:
“Through BTİDER, we want to provide basic training on artificial intelligence to more than 300,000 young people in the next two years. Our goal is to improve their skills in this area and ensure that they adopt the principles of safe use of artificial intelligence.”

The program, which aims to improve teachers' competence in the field of artificial intelligence and ensure that young people use artificial intelligence technologies safely and effectively, is of great importance for investing in teachers and young people in Turkey and their Equipped with the skills required for the digital world. Applications for the first phase close on December 15th. Those who qualify to take part in the training will be announced on the same website on December 17th. After the online training in January 2025, the competence of the teachers will be checked in this way.
Successful teachers can provide artificial intelligence training in classroom sessions held in Ankara, Antalya, Erzurum, Gaziantep, Istanbul, Izmir and Trabzon.
