Software support from Anatolia for Türkiye's 5G journey

As work continues in full swing to ensure widespread deployment of 5G technology in the country, an important tender for the technology took place this week.

The Information Technologies and Communications Authority (BTK) 5G tender saw three operators fiercely compete for 11 frequencies and the total bids exceeded $3.5 billion.

Not only operators and government institutions, but also other private companies are developing solutions for the development and use of this technology.

While most companies working on 5G are focused on metropolises such as Istanbul and Ankara, Çanakkale-based software development company NaraXR is also developing applications for 5G.

Zafer Karadayı, the company's founding partner, said in his statement that Türkiye is at the beginning of a technological transformation.

Karadayı explained that they have been playing an active role in the path to 5G since the beginning of 2019:

“We are a company that works with all three operators in Türkiye and develops many use cases with them. In particular, we plan the post-5G transformation of education and carry out related research and development studies. Another feature that distinguishes us from others is that we are a company that works for local 5G technologies from one Anatolian city, Çanakkale, apart from Istanbul and Ankara. This is also a source of pride for us. The Question of whether 5G technologies are local and national is also carried to Anatolia.” “It’s an indication that it has spread and there is support from there.”

“Education change will accelerate significantly within two years”

Karadayı stated that so far they have implemented many applications and developed technologies that make 5G more tangible and meaningful in areas such as education, health and industry for the 5G and later times.

Karadayı explained that they mainly conduct education-related studies and that they have developed competency-based sample applications for primary, secondary and high school education, also known as vocational education and K12.

Emphasizing that they have also implemented projects to transform art and tourism, Karadayı said:

“The change in education will accelerate greatly within two years. As 5G will be widely used in our country from next year, we will experience learning by doing, which we call experiential learning, more often with new generation eyewear technologies. We want to take a place in this regard both in Turkey and worldwide. In the long term, in the process leading to 6G by 2030, this will be much more widespread and our business and entertainment life as well as our educational life will be focused on it.” We are also looking forward to these days.” “We continue to develop technologies.”
