Science centers are characterized by their dynamic structure, which encourages people to experiment and discover. Centers that decouple science from the information in books raise awareness through hands-on activities.
Science centers, which provide an interactive, exciting and participatory environment instead of silent and static exhibition methods, aim to make technology understandable to everyone and prove that science is at the center of life, in line with the knowledge of people of all ages.
TÜBİTAK also supports large and small places in various ways to increase the number of science centers.
Science in every aspect of life
Young people and children who can visit exhibitions on various topics in these centers discover information in many areas, from new technologies to the universe of fundamental sciences, from the world to the history of science.
Centers where knowledge and science can be discovered through visual, auditory and sensory methods rather than classical methods reinforce learning through interactive exhibitions that go beyond the traditional museum concept.
In science centers, anyone who wants can participate in educational programs, conduct various experiments and apply teaching methods with activities that have a cause-and-effect relationship.
These centers are waiting for their participants for special day events, birthday parties and much more.
15 of the science centers are large-scale
Under the coordination of the Ministry of Industry and Technology and with the work of TUBITAK, 41 science centers, including 15 large ones, have been put into operation so far.
