Science and Technology Week is celebrated with the vision “National Technology Move”.

Science and Technology Week, March 8-14, which aims to increase scientific awareness and make technological developments accessible to all sections of society, will be celebrated this year in line with the vision of 'National Technology Move'. During the week, which is organized to stimulate scientific curiosity and inspire future scientists, Türkiye Science and Technology Base TÜBİTAK will organize events across Türkiye in a wide range from industry to science, from preschool to postgraduate education.


The workshops take place in 41 centers

Under the coordination of TÜBİTAK Science and Society Directorate and related institutes, a rich content is offered, from interactive workshops to international science discussions, from digital competitions to book festivals. In this process, a series of workshops on 72 different main topics will be conducted by 41 TÜBİTAK Science Centers, covering advanced technology and fundamental science areas such as robotic coding, artificial intelligence, 3D design, biology and recycling.


Women in science

Since March 8th, the beginning of the week, is also International Women's Day, events on the topic of “Women in Science” were also planned this year. Women scientists who have made significant contributions to the development of science and technology will also be remembered throughout the week.

DENEYAP Technology Workshops and National Technology Workshops will be actively hosting both workshops and interviews throughout the week.


Direct contact with experts

Conversation programs focused on knowledge sharing will be held in person at science centers and national technology workshops and made accessible to all of Türkiye with more than 20 online sessions. In these interviews, experienced scientists and researchers share current scientific developments with participants.

Science and Technology Week includes tours of laboratories and science history museums for students, planetarium exhibits for celestial enthusiasts, and dozens of interactive science shows. In order to increase access to scientific publications, a 20 percent discount on all TÜBİTAK books will also be provided throughout the week. With the Bilim Genç platform and award-winning quiz competitions organized by science centers, young people are encouraged to participate in scientific studies.
