The statement from the official Palestinian agency WAFA expressed the importance of the statement supported by Turkey, the United States, Qatar, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, Pakistan and Jordan.
In the statement, he explained that the Gaza Law is crucial with a view to “establishing a permanent and comprehensive ceasefire, ensuring the unhindered movement of humanitarian aid, Israel's complete withdrawal from Gaza and the immediate start of the reconstruction process.”
The statement emphasized “the right of the Palestinian people to self-determination and the need to establish an independent Palestinian state” and noted that the Palestinian government “is ready to assume full responsibility for the Gaza Strip, its land, its people and its institutions.”
The statement from nine countries, including Türkiye, said they expressed their joint support for the Gaza law drafted by the US and currently under consideration by the UN Security Council.
It was noted that the Gaza peace plan announced on September 29 was supported in the relevant draft and was also supported by the participating countries at the meetings in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt.
