The festival, organized under the main leadership of the Turkish Technology Team Foundation and the Ministry of Industry and Technology with TRT as the communication actor and Anadolu Agency as the “Global Communication Partner”, will continue at Adana Airport.
The second day of the festival features a program of events for participants of all ages, from acrobatics and high-tech simulations to scientific workshops and exhibitions.
Today as yesterday, visitors can follow the movements of the Turkish stars, SOLOTÜRK, HÜRKUŞ, HÜRJET, Bayraktar Akıncı, Bayraktar TB3, Gendarmerie Çelik Wings, attack helicopters and paramotors in the sky.
ANKA III flew with HÜRKUŞ and HÜRJET
While ANKA III made its first public flight at TEKNOFEST Adana, ANKA III, which flew on the arm of HÜRKUŞ and HÜRJET, was watched with interest by the participants.
ANKA III's wing structure, developed by TAI with national funds, features a delta shape.
ANKA III, Turkey's first turbofan-powered vertical unmanned aerial vehicle, is defined as an unmanned aerial vehicle system that is faster thanks to its jet engine, has a high payload capacity and is less visible on radar due to its tailless structure.
Work on ANKA III began in 2022
Development efforts for ANKA III, which takes the capabilities of unmanned aerial vehicles in the Turkish defense industry to a new level, began in 2022. After the System Requirements Review Meeting in March of the same year, the system requirements were frozen. The external geometry design was determined at the Preliminary Design Review Meeting in April 2022.
Design studies for the changing subsystems, particularly the new propulsion system, of ANKA III, whose basic avionics architecture is shared with ANKA and AKSUNGUR, were carried out quickly. The critical design review phase began in October 2022 and the first detailed part production of the aircraft was carried out in November 2022.
The sound of ANKA III, whose structural assembly was completed in January 2023 and whose equipment and wiring were completed in February, was first heard in March. ANKA III took to the runway for taxi tests in April 2023.
ANKA III, whose first flight took place in December 2023, stayed in the air for 1 hour and 10 minutes.
The competitions will continue
The winners of the technology competitions, for which 790,000 teams and more than 1 million 650,000 people applied this year, will compete in the TEKNOFEST Champions League.
The festival also includes the TEKNOFEST project exhibition area, the nuclear energy technologies design competition, the e-commerce hackathon, the TEKNOFEST drone championship, the World Drone Cup competitions and the International Invention Fair (ISIF).
You can go on a digital journey
The experience area “From Roots to the Future: TEKNOFEST Digital Universe” created at TEKNOFEST 2024 takes participants on a digital journey in the footsteps of scientists from Anatolia.
Participants simulate the difficult battle of Turkish soldiers on the Çanakkale Front in “On the Trail of Victory: Çanakkale Digital Experience Area” and discover the history of the organization in “TEKNOFEST Time Tunnel”.
