New era of autonomous systems: Air and ground vehicles now think together

The focus of the competition is scenarios in which unmanned aerial vehicles for aerial reconnaissance and unmanned ground vehicles in field operations work simultaneously and in an integrated manner.

Participants are expected to develop systems that analyze the environmental data collected by the unmanned aerial vehicle, transmit this data to the ground vehicle, and then enable the ground vehicle to autonomously use this information to make important decisions such as route planning, mission management and targeting.

Holistic autonomous systems approach

The competition process focuses not only on a single technology, but on four fundamental phases that complement each other. This structure, in which perception, data exchange, decision-making and task execution processes are treated as a whole, requires participants to develop integrated and intelligent systems that function end-to-end. This approach enables the production of solutions that are closer to the real usage scenarios of autonomous systems.

The focus is on solutions that meet real-world conditions

The projects to be developed as part of the competition are expected to be convincing not only in terms of their theoretical success, but also in terms of their practical applicability. Systems that can adapt to harsh environmental conditions, establish reliable data communication, and respond quickly to dynamic task changes will stand out in the evaluation process. In this respect, the competition offers an important platform for increasing the operational competence of autonomous systems.

International participation opportunity for young talents

Associate, bachelor's and master's students studying in Turkey and abroad can apply for the competition as a team. The organization, which promotes interdisciplinary work, contributes to the development of innovative ideas by bringing together young people studying in the fields of engineering and technology.

Competition supported by high rewards

The winning teams of the competition receive important prizes. The first team will win 750,000 Turkish lira, the second team will win 600,000 Turkish lira and the third team will win 500,000 Turkish lira. This support provides strong motivation for the participants to further develop their projects.

The application deadline is approaching

Applications close on April 1st. All student teams who want to make a difference in the area of autonomous systems and have a say in the technologies of the future are invited.

While the competition organized under TEKNOFEST contributes to Türkiye's national technology vision, it also enables young engineers to acquire skills to compete globally. Projects to be developed in the area of advanced autonomous systems have the potential to form the basis for the defense, security and civil technologies of the future.
