HAVELSAN, which has produced many software-based products in the Turkish defense industry in the 42 years since its establishment, has also achieved export success with these solutions offered to the security forces.
HAVELSAN demonstrated its competences at the international exhibitions and exercises in which it participated.
The company recently participated in NATO's largest digital interoperability exercise, CWIX 2024, held at the NATO Joint Force Training Center in Bydgoszcz, Poland.
HAVELSAN's product KARTAL Command Control Software and connection components have successfully passed all NATO Certification Assurance Verification and Validation-AV&V tests, although they participated for the first time.
During their first participation in the CWIX exercise, EAGLE and its interconnect components successfully passed special tests, which means official recognition of compatibility with NATO Federated Mission Networking (FMN), and were eligible for NATO certification. HAVELSAN also supported the Air Force Information System testing and certification activities in CWIX 2024.
The KARTAL Command and Control Software was developed by HAVELSAN as basic command and control software, which includes the generation of defined real-time aerial imagery, surveillance, weapons control and some simulation functions in the Control Reporting Centers of the Air Forces Command.
Obtaining certifications, which are an important prerequisite for participation in NATO missions within the framework of the CWIX exercises, which test the interoperability of the countries' command and control information systems with the systems of NATO and other countries, is important to demonstrate the level that HAVELSAN products have achieved.
HAVELSAN has been actively participating in CWIX exercises with the capabilities it has developed since 2012; It obtained Assurance Verification and Validation-AV&V certification from CWIX exercises with DOOB and KAŞİF in 2019 and ADVENT CMS and ADVENT MARTI products in 2023.
The CWIX exercise, which took place this year from June 3 to 21, 2024, involved 42 different countries, including NATO and the European Union, with more than 480 systems and about 2,500 personnel in 18 areas of interest.
HAVELSAN participated in the CWIX exercise with 25 personnel; working with 6 systems (KARTAL and link components, Tactical Data Link Management Center TDLYM, ADVENT CMS, ADVENT TRITON, ADVENT MARTI) in the areas of air, sea and tactical data link.
New competitive solutions are added
HAVELSAN Director General Mehmet Akif Nacar made the following assessments on the two separate certificates acquired during the CWIX 2023 exercise:
“It is proud to see that we have successfully passed operational scenario-based tests and bilateral tests at NATO's largest interoperability exercise and that we have reaped the fruits of our proactive approach that addresses not only today's needs but also those of tomorrow. This year we will actively participate with our solutions in the areas of cyber and modeling simulation from next year.” “We also had the opportunity to carry out on-site inspections and coordination to ensure competitive solutions at the international level, further consolidating our long-standing experience in system creation and compatibility with NATO standards with the new certificates we have received.”
