Hamas: Israel is trying, as usual, to manipulate the agreement

Hamas movement spokesman Kasım gave an assessment of the ceasefire process in Gaza and recent developments.

Kasim stated that Israel, as usual, “tried to manipulate the data, lists and procedures in the agreement” and explained that this was aimed at projecting the image of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as “the leader who controls the process.”

Emphasizing that they are in constant contact with mediators, Kasım noted that intensive efforts are being made to force Israel to implement the agreement.

Emphasizing that Hamas' main goal in all rounds of negotiations is to end the war, Kasım said: “No phase of prisoner exchange was discussed without a clear commitment to stop the attacks and the war.”

Stating that the agreement “marks the end of the war against Gaza that has been going on for more than two years,” Kasım said that in the process the Israeli army committed a “genocide” that left hundreds of thousands of martyrs and wounded, but the Palestinian people resisted despite all the destruction and suffering.

Kasım also pointed out that there are agreed schedules and prisoner lists and called on mediators and guarantor countries to “force Israel to implement them.”

Hamas spokesman Kasım said: “The prisoner exchange file will begin in the coming days after Israel approves the lists submitted by Hamas.” he said.

Kasim explained that Israel is still using “delaying tactics regarding the withdrawal from Gaza and the Palestinian prisoner lists,” stressing that these are “the latest maneuvers aimed at demoralizing the Palestinian people.”

Regarding the role of mediators in the agreement, Kasım said: “Türkiye, Qatar and Egypt played an important role in reaching the agreement with the participation of the American government chaired by US President Donald Trump.”
