21-year-old Arslansarı, who spent his free time from classes in his 15 square meter workshop in Cappadocia Technopark within NEVÜ, made a mini disinfectant device that eliminates dirty air and bad smells in offices, homes and vehicles.
The young entrepreneur, who produces some of the materials he uses in production using a 3D printer in his workshop and sources some from local companies, is trying to keep up with orders.
“We receive orders from abroad”
Askan Arslansarı, a fourth-year student at NEVÜ Faculty of Engineering and Architecture, Computer Engineering Department, said that he developed the system based on the fact that lightning and lightning break apart the oxygen molecules in the air, and the released oxygen atoms recombine to form ozone.
Arslansarı explained that the oxygen-based smart device, which he called “OXI”, is rechargeable and portable and works depending on the surrounding air thanks to its sensors. He explained that it converts oxygen into ozone, breaks down harmful microorganism compounds in the environment and eliminates the bad smell from its source.
Emphasizing that he was inspired by lightning and lightning in nature when making this device, Arslansarı explained that it is not an odor masking device like other devices.
Arslansarı emphasized that they had eliminated the direct source of the bad smell and said:
“Ozone occurs when lightning or lightning strikes in nature. We have actually simulated this situation in this tiny oxygen and allowed the customer to take it home and use this miracle of nature. Since the sensor inside measures the amount of compounds that can cause bad smells such as ammonia and sulfur in the environment, it does not do unnecessary work as it can measure both pollution and ozone status of the environment. We save electricity and extend the use of the device. Currently we can produce about 1000 units per month.” gradually expand our capacity. We plan to increase our production capacity in the near future. I believe this device will replace all odor masking and air freshener devices. Once you purchase it, you can charge it every 15 days and use it for a lifetime. I think it will soon surpass such devices around the world and dominate the market.”
“The Cappadocia Technopark was the turning point of my life”
Stating that he applied for the Small and Medium Enterprises Development and Support Administration's “Entrepreneur Support Program Business Development Support” and that he intends to contribute to employment by expanding his workshop with the support he will receive, Arslansarı thanked the managers of Cappadocia Technopark for supporting him in realizing his dreams.
Inviting those with business ideas to benefit from the support of Technoparks and the state, Arslansarı said, “I can say that Cappadocia Technopark was the turning point in my life. I had many business ideas as a student and came to Technopark with this idea. They brought me here from scratch and helped me a lot in starting a business. They gave me the necessary equipment and equipment and provided me with mentoring support.”
Arslansarı added that he intends to develop different models of the device.
