The TEKNOFEST Drone Championship, which brings together technology and aviation enthusiasts, will be held in 2025 on the basis of individual participation. It will bring great excitement to the skies of the TRNC, enable the discovery of new talent in drone technology and bring together the most talented drone pilots across the country.
The TEKNOFEST Drone Championship, organized as part of the TEKNOFEST Aviation, Space and Technology Festival and attracting great attention every year, invites drone racers to fierce competition. The competition, which has been taking place since 2017 and is eagerly awaited by young people and technology enthusiasts, has been organized as part of TEKNOFEST since 2021 and carried out by STM.
The competition is conducted using FPV (first-person view) cameras and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) operating on specific frequencies. The dimensions of the UAVs range from 180 to 250 mm and compliance with the established technical criteria is required. When competing by the elimination method, the pilots who score the highest points in the qualifying rounds have the right to participate in the elimination rounds. The first stage of this exciting competition will be held in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.
