According to the TÜBA, the awards in the fields of natural and engineering sciences, health and life sciences, and social and human sciences are awarded among candidates nominated by academy members, university rectorates, world science academies, international academic organizations and other individuals and institutions invited by the academy.
The studies and contributions of nominated scientists are evaluated by TÜBA prize juries, which are formed in three prize areas by taking into account the opinions of domestic and foreign reviewers who are experts in their fields. The jury's recommendations are then presented to the Academy Council. The award winners are determined by the council.
To apply for the TÜBA Academy Awards, which consist of the Oscar medal and certificate as well as money, no other international science award must have been awarded in Türkiye in the last three years.
The nomination process for the awards, for which applications have already been opened, runs until May 15th.
