An investigation has been launched into the sale of products targeting beliefs and values.

A post on this topic was published on the Ministry of Commerce's Nsocial account.

The statement said the ministry opened an investigation because public posts on an e-commerce platform offered products for sale that targeted society's beliefs and values. Due to the coordinated work with the relevant units, the product in question was quickly withdrawn from sale and the necessary administrative procedures were initiated against the seller within the framework of the legislation.

The statement emphasized that products, services or commercial activities that have the potential to contain hate speech or discrimination, target national and moral values, provoke sections of society or damage the public conscience must not find a place in the e-commerce ecosystem, and included the following:

“Our Ministry of Commerce continues its inspection activities with determination to protect consumers, ensure the security of the digital trading environment and prevent content that could harm national unity and social peace. All necessary steps will be taken immediately against any commercial activity that harms public order.”
