According to the compilation of Turkish Statistics Institute (TUIK) data, Türkiye's prioritization of measures to increase technology production is also reflected in its export figures.
Turkey's exports of high-tech products, which were 6 billion 449 million 500 thousand 718 dollars in 2021, increased to 7 billion 419 million 306 thousand 290 dollars in 2022 and 9 billion 171 million 701 thousand 749 dollars in 2023.
While in 2024 the export in question was 8 billion 800 million 859 thousand 516 dollars, in 2025 it increased to 9 billion 912 million 465 thousand 760 dollars.
Turkey's exports of high-tech products increased by 53.7 percent in the period 2021-2025.
First and foremost is the production of aircraft and spacecraft
“Manufacture of aircraft and spacecraft” ranked first in Türkiye's $9.9 billion exports of high-tech products last year with 4 billion 15 million 226 thousand 624 dollars.
This category was followed by “manufacture of computers, electronic and optical products” with $3 billion, 394 million, 374 thousand, 795 dollars and “manufacture of basic pharmaceutical products and pharmaceutical materials” with $2 billion, 502 million, 864 thousand, 341 dollars.
Motor vehicles are at the forefront of exports of medium to high technology products
Turkey's medium-high technology product exports increased by 10.6 percent annually in 2025 and exceeded $102 billion.
“Manufacture of motor vehicles” was the sector with the most exports in this category with 38 billion 907 million 227 thousand 246 dollars.
This sector was followed by “Manufacture of electrical equipment” with 19 billion 88 million 868 thousand 687 dollars, “Manufacture of machinery and equipment not classified elsewhere” with 18 billion 576 million 341 thousand 469 dollars and “Manufacture of chemicals and chemical products” with 18 billion 541 million 487 thousand 210 dollars.
The share of manufacturing exports rose to 43.5 percent
For example, exports of medium-to-high technology and high technology products amounted to nearly $112 billion in 2025.
The share of this value in manufacturing exports increased. Against this background, this rate, which was 36.4 percent in 2021, increased to 36.9 percent in 2022, 40.3 percent in 2023 and 41 percent in 2024.
The share of Türkiye exports of high and medium-high technology products in the manufacturing industry increased to 43.5 percent in 2025.
