A UAV capable of staying in the air for 10 hours was created in Van

The team, consisting of mechanical, aerospace and aviation, software, mechatronics, electrical and electronics engineers, studied the costs and characteristics of unmanned aircraft in 2021 and began producing UAVs with payload capacity.

The engineers who initially prepared the UAV prototype by establishing the company they named “Artos Technology” were entitled to support from the Small and Medium Enterprises Development and Support Administration (KOSGEB) for the project they prepared.

In this way, the engineers began the production of fixed-wing UAVs, the gasoline model of which can fly for 10 hours, which can perform missions under clouds in the workshop they opened, successfully completed the test flights of the vehicles and started the mass production phase.

The team, which aims to produce 80 UAVs per year, wants to have a say in the industry by shipping products abroad.

Aerospace engineer Ziya Demir Yusufoğlu said that they designed UAVs as “Art-v1 electric” and “Art-v1 gasoline”.

Stating that they manufactured UAVs to meet the need for immediate reconnaissance, Yusufoğlu said:

“Unmanned aerial vehicles allow you to instantly observe what is happening at a distance of 10 kilometers in 10 minutes. It is characterized by being portable for the user. It can be installed in a specially designed bag in 3 minutes. We offer the user two options: electric and gasoline. We have so far carried out 32 test flights with our station software. We are currently in the system integration phase. We offer an easy choice between our landing and take-off flights. Switch-off options, depending on the operating conditions and requirements.”

Yusufoğlu explained that the vehicles also have manual launch, launch ramp and launch functions:

“It can be flown anywhere without the need for a runway. The gasoline-powered one can stay in the air for 10 hours. It has a payload capacity of approximately 4 kilograms. The electric version flies for 5 hours. We have succeeded.” We started looking for markets at home and abroad. “The art-v1, which we developed based on the best-selling UAV models in the world, has great advantages.” In terms of economy, technology and accessibility, the body is made of composite material according to industry standards.”
