Fergani Space's first satellite, FGN-100-d1, was launched on SpaceX's Falcon 9 rocket from the Vandenberg base in the United States.
FGN-100-d1 was launched by SpaceX's Falcon 9 Transporter 12 mission.
The Transporter-12 mission, which operated from Vandenberg Base in the US, included 131 payloads, including cubesats, microsatellites and orbital transfer vehicles. These payloads included the first satellite FGN-100-d1 from Fergani Space as well as satellites from Plan-S, one of the Turkish companies in the field of space technologies.
The start was successful
Images of the successfully completed Transporter 12 mission were broadcast live on SpaceX's X account.
The ignition test of the Fergani satellite's hydrogen peroxide space engine was successfully carried out in May last year. Selçuk Bayraktar explained that they founded Fergani to build the global positioning system consisting of constellations.
Fergani Space's goal is to stand out from the world by developing sustainable and cost-effective solutions for space transportation and low-orbit satellite services using the innovative and original technologies it develops.
5 satellites that will strengthen the national space ecosystem have been launched
Industry and Technology Minister Mehmet Fatih Kacır said on the launch of Fergani Space's first satellite FGN-100-d1 and four other satellites of Plan-S company: “Our space ecosystem is becoming stronger day by day in line with our national space program goals. he said.
Through his social media account, Kacır evaluated the launch of Fergani Space's first satellite, FGN-100-d1, whose CEO is Baykar Chairman Selçuk Bayraktar, and four other Plan-S satellites.
Kacır congratulated the Turkish initiatives Fergani Space and Plan-S, which launched the satellites they developed today, and said:
“Fergani's first satellite FGN-100-d1 and Plan-S's 4 Connecta IoT satellites (Connecta IOT-5, 6, 7 and 8) fly into space today on SpaceX's Transporter-12 mission. Our space ecosystem, National “The Space Program.” will grow stronger every day in line with our goals.”
“A new era has begun”
Stating that Turkey's space ecosystem continues to grow, the Turkish Space Agency (TUA) shared the following:
“Fergani Space ushered in a new era in the small GEO category by launching its first satellite, FGN-100-d1, on SpaceX’s Falcon 9 rocket. The satellite, which will provide global coverage in the field of communications and geolocation, will make Plan-S the pioneer of future technologies. The company continues to develop global solutions in the areas of IoT and 6G NTN with its commercial satellites. The company has successfully launched nine satellites to date and continues to expand its IoT satellite network. “We congratulate Plan-S Satellite and Space Technologies on these important achievements. These valuable steps taken by Türkiye in the space field once again demonstrate the power of the National Technology Move.”
