Minister Kacır, in his speech at the groundbreaking ceremony for the new building of Entertech Istanbul Teknokent, said that the world is on the threshold of one of the most radical technology revolutions in its history and that innovative technologies such as artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things, big data and cloud computing are spreading extends from social life to business processes, from education to healthcare. “Today we have more than 11,000 technology startups in our technoparks, the number of which we have increased from 2 to 105 over the last 22 years. Our startups have successfully completed our technoparks, where more than 101,000 R&D employees work. They are also working on more than 63,000 research and development projects. They continue to implement our legislation to pave the way for the projects implemented by our skilled workforce in our technology parks that add value to the future of our country. We update.
We have aligned the support of our R&D centers and Technopark companies, which benefit from our high-level R&D incentives, to venture capital investments. Under our regulation, we have provided a total of 7 billion lira in financing for technology startups, including 3.5 billion last year. “By enabling the creation of incubation centers outside the boundaries of Technopark, we have made it easier for our startups to access the market and qualified personnel.”
