Family and Social Services Minister Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş attended the “Disability Rights Monitoring and Evaluation Panel” in the 75th year of the Nursing Home Elderly Care and Rehabilitation Center.

Emphasizing that new solutions and innovations are needed in employment, as in any other issue, taking into account the changing needs of society, Göktaş said:

In this regard, we will conduct workshops with the participation of all relevant parties.” In order to establish activities in the field of economic security policy, we will discuss in depth all issues related to the employment of disabled people and prepare the second workshop. Minister Göktaş stated that another topic they will discuss today is improving the accessibility of public institutions' websites.
Stating that it is inevitable to provide digital accessibility to meet the world's information and communication needs, Göktaş said that the ministry has conducted “Accessibility Workshops: Web Accessibility Standards Training” for technical personnel working in information technology is units of universities and municipalities.
Emphasizing that they also organized the same training program for the personnel of the press departments of universities, public institutions and organizations, Göktaş said, “We provided technical support to TÜRKSAT and the General Directorate of Security regarding the accessibility of the e-government portal.” and KADES applications. “We have reached the final stage of preparing the Circular on Accessibility of Websites and Mobile Applications. Our esteemed President gave the good news that this circular will be published next year on the occasion of December 3rd, World Disability Day.
