According to the Baklava and Dessert Producers Association (BAKTAD), the 13th “Traditional Baklava Festival” will be held this year in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan.
The festival, which aims to promote the world-famous Turkish baklava, Turkey's first geographical indication registration in the EU, and baku baklava, one of Azerbaijan's leading flavors, will be held with intense participation. The festival will be attended by a delegation of 100 people, including representatives of the industry's leading brands operating in Turkey.

10 types of baklava from Azerbaijan will be presented at the festival, which will showcase 60 types of desserts unique to Turkey, including pistachios, walnuts, mussels, Şöbiyet, carrot slices and cold baklava. These products include desserts such as Baku, Gabala and Sheki baklavas.
At the festival, whose aim is to show the whole world the brotherhood of Türkiye and Azerbaijan and once again introduce the world to Turkish baklava from Azerbaijan, 20,000 slices of baklava will be distributed to visitors.
The participating masters will demonstrate their skills at the festival, where the master masters from the last two festivals will also be present. Throughout the day, visitors can enjoy a feast of flavors as part of the festival, where the journey of Turkish baklava from production to consumption will be both explained and exhibited.
