Chocolate salami recipe from Osteria Mamma

This easy no-bake Italian dessert requires very little hands-on prep time and is the perfect chocolate treat served alongside espresso as a dippable snack. Make sure you prepare your meal ahead of time, at least 4 hours, so that it has enough time to completely freeze into a solid block. It can be prepared up to two days in advance. For a non-alcoholic version, simply leave out the rum or grappa. You can also add finely chopped nuts or dried fruits for more texture and flavor. Serve with espresso or with gelato. With wine it goes well with a full-bodied red wine that smells of spices and vanilla, such as the Montefalco Sagrantino Passito from Azienda Agricola Bocale.
