Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır made the statement on his social media account.
Minister Kacır announced that TÜRKSAT 6A was placed in the 50° East orbit, an inverted orbit, at 35,786,000 kilometers.
Kacır said: “After about three months of testing, it will depart for its original orbit, the 42° East orbit.”
Minister Kacır continued his words as follows:
“The payload antennas of our satellite, which will expand Turkey's communication coverage area, were successfully opened today. I congratulate all our teams who have done a perfect job so far.”
