Following the 2024 Science and Arts Centers (BİLSEM) exams, the individual evaluation and registration calendar has been announced.
Accordingly, BİLSEM's individual evaluation exercises will be held between May 26 and July 26. The students eligible to register will be announced on July 31. The appeal applications will then be received between August 5 and 9. After the evaluation of the appeals between August 12 and 16, the student registration process will be carried out between August 5 and 29.

What is BİLSEM and what is the purpose of its establishment?
Hanımzer Aslan, Director of Üsküdar Ahmet Yüksel Özemre Science and Arts Center, gave important information about “What is BİLSEM”, its purposes, Bilsem exams and interviews to TRT Child Parent Academy.
Stating that the aim of BİLSEM is to develop the potential of students by providing special educational environments for particularly talented students, Aslan said that they aim to further develop the talents of particularly talented students, who represent the national wealth of our country, in such science and arts centers.
Arslan explained that BİLSEM offers training in important fields such as computer science, music, physics, mathematics, fine arts, technology and design, physics and biology.
Training in all areas in small groups
The teachers of the BİLSEM Üsküdar Science and Art Center Ahmet Yüksel Özemre provided detailed information about the training of particularly talented students.
BİLSEM teacher Dr. Başak Göfner explained that at BİLSEM there is the opportunity to work with small groups in which children are supported in every way.
Göfner said that children take a productive position when learning.
Hacı Nurşat Çetinkaya, an information technology teacher, stated that after 7th and 8th grades, they study subjects such as data mining and artificial intelligence.
Technology and Design Teacher Çiğdem Önder stated that they carry out many activities where technology and art meet in the classroom with BİLSEM students. At BİLSEM, which supports particularly gifted students with special curricula, experiential, theoretical and practical education is also provided in fields such as fine arts, music, philosophy, physics, biology, natural sciences, biology and mathematics.
Guidance and advice for parents
BİLSEM also provides counseling and advice to the families of gifted students.
Specialized psychological counselor and guidance teacher Ömer Gümüşoğlu explained that families are supported in their problems and that counseling studies are offered to ensure that this process is healthier, and that families have important roles in discovering the development and talents of particularly gifted students and supporting them at this point.

Registration schedule for students who are eligible for an interview based on the BİLSEM exam results announced on April 18;
May 26 – July 26, 2024: Bilsem Individual Valuation Practices.
July 31: Announcement of the students who have been granted the right to enroll in Bilsem.
05-09 August 2024: Receipt of objections to the results of Bilsem’s individual assessment applications.
12-16 August 2024: Assessment of objections to the results of the Bilsem Individual Assessment Application.
05-29 August 2024: Registration of students who are eligible to enroll in Bilsem.
