Deputy Secretary General of the Organization of Turkish States (TDT), Mirvokhid Azimov, informed about the work carried out in the field of space and satellites.
Evaluating in Ankara, where he attended the 3rd Meeting of TDT Space Agencies within the Space Technology Conference organized by the Turkish Space Agency, Azimov said that they had a very productive and successful meeting.
Azimov explained that they discussed many issues related to space exploration and agreed on some points. Azimov explained that they also made assessments regarding the location of the second Space Camp Turkey event, which was held in Bursa last year and received very good feedback, explaining that such organizations contribute to the knowledge of young people. Azimov said: “On the other hand, such events strengthen solidarity and the sense of belief in the common future and allow young people to come together,” said.
The Cube satellite project is entrusted to a special team
Azimov explained that last year as TDT they formed a technical working group to carry out the “Cube Satellite Project” and said:
“We are now discussing the results of this group’s activities. At the meeting, we agreed to form a special team of engineers who will work on the joint satellite on behalf of the Turkish states. This team will continue its activities The Research Center in Kazakhstan will send its engineers to Kazakhstan to start research. Our goal is to launch a cube satellite on behalf of TDT. Our aim is to investigate the environmental conditions in our member states and to carry out some studies.
“We were proud that Turkey sent its first astronaut into space”
Azimov explained that as TDT they also want to strengthen cooperation between universities and research centers in space research, saying:
“Turkey is making a great contribution to the development of space cooperation within our organization. We were proud that Turkey recently sent its first astronaut into space. Now they will send the Türksat 6A satellite into orbit, and of course this will be of great benefit to the country.” “Turkey's experience in the space field is of great benefit to our other Turkish states.” “Turkey is ready to share its experience and to share their knowledge.”
