Gelen informed about their preparations for the “parliamentary elections for local government on March 31st”.

Gelen noted that they are making it easier for users to report misleading content directly through the application and said there is a dedicated team that reviews the reports in accordance with its misinformation policies.
Gelen noted that they continue to work closely with ten local stakeholders to inform TikTok on relevant policies and disinformation risk management:
“During this sensitive time, we will continue to work with our fact-checking partner to assess the accuracy of content so we have the flexibility to quickly remove false or manipulated videos. Explaining that they are directing users to real information about the elections, including details on how and where to vote, Gelen continued:

To ensure that the Election Tracking Center is visible and accessible, we also provide support for content verifiably related to the presidential and legislative elections. “We also added tags to the content coming from accounts of politicians and political parties in Turkey. These tags allowed users to obtain information about the election by directing them to the Election Tracking Center page.
Gelen explained that they added a warning directing users to the Voting Guide for content with unverifiable claims about voting, saying, “Our center has been viewed and followed by millions of TikTok users. Hundreds of thousands of people switched to the Supreme election page.” “We plan to reactivate the study. “We will ensure that our community has access to confirmed information.” has given his assessment.
“We don’t allow paid political ads on TikTok”
Gelen emphasized that her main focus on TikTok is to create a fun and friendly experience for the community, saying:
“We do not allow paid political ads on TikTok. All paid ads must comply with our platform's standards. Paid political ads don't fit into the TikTok platform experience. Therefore, including election-related ads and propaganda ads targeting a candidate, current leader, or current leaders at the city, state, or local level. “We do not allow paid advertising that promotes or opposes any political party or group.”
Gelen also pointed out that they have strong mechanisms to detect fake accounts of users such as politicians, ministers and political parties, adding that they remove these accounts when they are discovered.
