ULAK Communication Inc. presented its recently developed national technology solutions at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain.
Among these solutions, uMAYA SD-WAN, Turkey's first and only national network solution developed with a software-defined approach to make wide area network infrastructures more secure, easier to manage and more cost-effective, was among the products that attracted attention at the exhibition.
uMAYA SD-WAN; Since its first commercial sale in 2019, it has been available to many institutions and organizations as an innovative solution that includes features that directly impact the end user, such as: B. centralized management, network abstraction, network automation and increased cybersecurity.
Ali Akçay, System Engineering Manager at ULAK Communication Inc., said in his statement that they had the opportunity to introduce the product to many domestic and foreign users and customers during the exhibition.
Emphasizing that the product provides a management and cybersecurity solution that is used by many institutions in wide area network infrastructures in Turkey, Akçay explained that thanks to this product, institutions can ensure secure and uninterrupted communication with locations in their wide area network infrastructures in the center or in the center with services in the cloud.

Pointing out that they have been offering uMAYA SD-WAN as a network solution in Turkey and various parts of the world for about five years, Akçay explained that both presented the product at MWC 2024 and examined the work of competitors and global manufacturers this field. “At this point we can see that our product is really close to our global competitors and even offers more technically advantageous features in certain places. This year in particular, we saw that artificial intelligence and cloud-based solutions were at the forefront at the trade fair. New capabilities come with artificial intelligence
Ali Akçay said that cybersecurity is a topic that changes every day and takes on a different dimension.
Akçay emphasized that different cybersecurity threats, attack methods, vulnerabilities and vulnerabilities appear every day and that these vulnerabilities need to be responded to very quickly, explaining that artificial intelligence-based methods are life-saving in the face of them. Akçay made the following assessments:
“In particular, behavior-based detection, i.e. cyber security tasks based on artificial intelligence, which are intended to use the user's behavior in incoming data traffic to identify whether it is an attack or a normal reaction, is a topic that has a high priority. Akçay explained that SD-WAN is used to manage data traffic between locations where users or systems are located at different points in the wide area network infrastructure, such as: B. in branches, regions and centers, in particular to ensure the access security of data centers or cloud services that can be accessed via the wide area network. He explained that SD-WAN secures all data traffic from the edge to the center.
Akçay pointed out that the product provides end-to-end cybersecurity thanks to its features such as encryption, traffic monitoring with other security features or anomaly rejection, and explained that it also provides uninterrupted service access by sharing different networks. Akçay said: “Here we can use different carrier networks at the same time. Wireless networks, fiber optic infrastructures or broadband Internet infrastructures can be safely used as access infrastructure thanks to this product. All management here is done through a central control layer. “That's the traffic management and cybersecurity policies that you apply.” “It makes everything very easy to manage from a single point across the entire layer,” he said.
