Joint move by Türkiye and Saudi Arabia to facilitate trade

The article reported that Deputy Minister Uçarmak attended the 147th and 148th meetings of the WCO Council in Brussels, which was attended by the heads of customs administrations of 187 member countries and high-ranking representatives of international organizations.

The post states that the meeting assessed key topics such as the future of global trade, data-oriented customs management, artificial intelligence, e-commerce and secure supply chains and also presented the organization's work to member countries.

The post noted that Uçarmak met with Suhail Abnami, head of Saudi Arabia's Zakat, Tax and Customs Administration, and said the following:

“They exchanged views on the development of road transit corridors from our country to the Gulf, effective implementation of the trucking system and facilitation of regional and bilateral trade. After the meeting, the Joint Action Plan was signed, which will accelerate the process of mutual recognition of approved commitment programs between our countries. During the meeting, our Deputy Minister discussed our bilateral relations with his counterparts from the customs administrations of Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Hungary, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Maldives, Syria, Georgia and Kosovo held talks.
