According to Türkiye Electricity Transmission Inc., 1 million 61 thousand 607 megawatt hours of electricity were produced daily in Türkiye yesterday, and consumption was 1 million 54 thousand 556 megawatt hours.
On an hourly basis, the highest electricity consumption yesterday was at 3 p.m. with 50,000,286 megawatt hours and the lowest consumption was at 6 a.m. with 34,000,557 megawatt hours.
With a share of 23.4 percent, hydroelectric power plants with dams were in first place in terms of production. This was followed by solar power plants with 17.4 percent and imported coal-fired power plants with 14.2 percent.
The daily electricity generated from solar energy in Türkiye reached the highest level of the year at 185,000 9 megawatt hours yesterday.
Finally, on June 15, daily electricity generated from solar energy reached its highest level of the year at 184,466 megawatt hours.
Turkey exported 10,636 megawatt hours of electricity and imported 3,686 megawatt hours of electricity yesterday.
