According to the Foreign Ministry's written statement, Arakchi made a statement on regional and international developments and his country's relations with the BRICS in his speech at the BRICS Foreign Ministers' Meeting in New Delhi, the capital of India.
Arakchi stated that they will continue to pursue and defend diplomacy as they are ready to fight with all means to defend their freedom and their country.
Arakchi explained that they did not bow to any pressure or threat, but did not leave the language of respect unrequited: “As I have repeatedly stated, there can be no military solution to any problem regarding Iran.”
Arakchi said that the peace-loving Iranian people do not seek war, but that the armed forces are “always ready to take devastating revenge on foreign aggressors.”
Arakçi, who argued that they are victims and not aggressors in the face of US and Israeli attacks, explained that different countries also face different pressures.
Stating that it is time to take collective action to send this pressure to the dustbin of history, Arakçi said:
“Crimes such as violations of international law and state piracy on the high seas and the West's silence on the matter can only occur with impunity. This false situation must be eliminated by all of us.” gave his assessment.
Calling on BRICS member countries and the international community, Arakçi continued as follows:
“Iran calls on BRICS member states and all responsible members of the international community to publicly condemn violations of international law, including the illegal aggression of the United States and Israel against Iran, prevent the politicization of international institutions, and take concrete steps to stop warmongering and end impunity for those who violate the UN Charter.”
Stating that there is a need for an order in which power is not justification, Iran's foreign minister said: “We believe that BRICS can and should be one of the main pillars in shaping a more just, balanced and humane global order.” he said.
