Despite the ceasefire, the Israeli occupying army increased its attacks on southern Lebanon

The Israeli army continues its attacks on the southern regions of Lebanon despite the ceasefire that came into force on April 17.

According to the Lebanese authority NNA, Israeli aircraft have attacked the cities of Yahun, Ayta Cebel, Kefer Ruman, Mecdel Zun, Hinniyye, Sadikin, Debaal, Abbasiyye, Deyr Kanun, Arabsalim, Halusiyye Haris and Mansuri since midday.

Additionally, Israeli unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) targeted a total of seven vehicles in different regions of Lebanon, resulting in at least nine deaths.

Hezbollah retaliated against Israeli attacks

On the other hand, Hezbollah's written statement said that eight attacks were carried out against the Israeli army in the occupied territories in southern Lebanon in response to ceasefire violations.

The statement said that the IDF armored personnel carriers and soldiers in Bint Jubeil were attacked with kamikaze UAVs, and the soldiers and vehicles in the Bulat position and in the town of Kavzah were hit with rockets.

Hezbollah also announced that a military vehicle was attacked in Reshaf, a D9 bulldozer in Deir Suryan and a Namira military vehicle in the Wadi al-Uyun region.

It was noted that Israeli soldiers were also targeted by rocket attacks between Wadi al-Uyun and Serbin.

Israel's attacks on Lebanon and the ceasefire

The Israeli army launched heavy airstrikes on Lebanon on March 2, occupying many cities in the south of the country.

The Lebanese government also announced that the number of displaced people in the country exceeded one million during this period.

In his April 24 statement, US President Donald Trump announced that the 10-day temporary ceasefire between Lebanon and Israel, which came into force on April 17, has been extended for another three weeks.

According to data from the Lebanese Ministry of Health yesterday, more than 2,880 people have died in Israeli attacks that have continued since March 2 despite the ceasefire declaration.

Despite the ceasefire, the Israeli army continues its attacks and house demolitions in southern Lebanon, while Hezbollah attacks Israeli troops on the grounds that they are violating the ceasefire.
